Sand and heat...no beach
We hit Chic Filet prior to driving to Petroglyph National Monument Visitor's center. Drove down the road a mile to hit Rinconada Canyon trail, a 2.2 mile loop trail for viewing the Petroglyphs. We had to work on this one. It was like walking across the beach thru loose and sometimes deep sand. Needless to say there was no shade but a favorable breeze.
